Well of course I have fallen off the wagon, started drinking Coke way too often, stopped caring about what I was eating and then it hit me. I am realizing that sometimes you need the wake up call. Is it better to choose to avoid it? By far yes! But in this case, I needed to learn how much better I felt and how much more I wanted to be healthy and exercising than wanting that burger and fries. I am not perfect and I am finding that some days are better than others. I became overwhelmed, and couldn't find the reality I needed, or the balance. And I lost myself in the process.
You know I have sat and thought about all the reasons I cannot accomplish something, but I don't think I have focused enough on the reasons why I should accomplish it. The other problem is I didn't have a true set goal, I had a desire, but no goal. There is a major difference. A desire starts the spark, but the goal is the force that drives you there. So what have I learned?
1: I need to write down why I want to accomplish what I want.
2: I need to have goals, daily, weekly, and long term.
3: As I accomplish goals I need to set new ones to keep me on track.
So over the next few posts I will write down the WHY, the GOALS, and the PLAN.
And to you reader, thanks for not giving up on me. Thank you for the comments and emails. I hope that sharing my process is at least helping you in some way, and not leaving you hopeless.
