I am grateful for the guidance I am receiving. I know that I am not doing this on my own, we have all seen the results of that!! One thing I am learning is that I need to be prepared, I need to have the menu planned for the week, I need to have the proper resources in my home. And thus far it has been happening!
I am also grateful for small achievements, for example: choosing to eat a banana over two oreos. That may seem insignificant to you, it isn't to me. Having the willpower to put cookies back in their container and add a banana to my plate is HUGE!
I was thinking that write what my daily schedule is. I think it helps put my journey into perspective. And it helps me realize how much I can and do accomplish each day, so I am not so hard on myself. So here it is:
6:30 Wake up, read scriptures shower
7:00 wake up girls, and start on making lunches and breakfast
7:30 Making beds, straightening home, doing hair for girls.
7:45 Sending the girls off to school with their dad, or quickly drying my hair to drive girls to school
8:00 Take girls to school, or finish getting ready myself
8:30 Preparing snack, and getting ready for preschool
9:00 Quick clean of bathroom, and working on preschool stuff.
9:30 Preschool begins (MWF) 10:00 (T TH) (29 Students total)
12:00 Send preschoolers home, clean up, wash snack dishes
12:30 Feed Nathan lunch, do laundry, clean house, update business accounts, workout
2:45 pick up girls from school
3:15 Two days a week attend bball games for Garrett if not
we are working on homework or running errands
4:45 Get Julia to dance
5:00 Start preparing dinner
5:30 serve dinner
6:00 clean up and family scripture study
7:00 get girls in shower, bathe Nathan
8:00 Meetings or Zumba
8:30 Get kids to bed
9:00 Crash in my own bed to start again
Now that is the gist of it. There are definitely days when there is a PTA Meeting thrown in there that I am either hosting, or attending, Courtney's basketball games, Julia's dance recitals, Tournaments, and church activities. My day is full, and I count my days lucky when I can squeeze in workout somewhere. I think I would feel more energized if I slept at night, one mountain at a time though!
I know that we all have schedules like this, and to some my schedule may seem like nothing in comparison. Our journeys here are individual and personal in so many ways, but we are all so interconnected too. I am grateful to be surrounded by people who support, listen, and encourage me to keep trying. I WILL GET THERE! I KNOW IT! I just have to take it a day at a time! One month down, at least 7 more to go!
Hoping that in a few days I can write some more about my perspective change, and the blessings I am receiving! Stay tuned!
