Day 49

I was thinking about change. I think it is so easy to go with the quickest result, the easy way out. What I am learning is, that change is a process. The longer the process the more revealing, and rewarding it can become. Change causes us to strip unwanted layers, to strengthen hidden layers, and to fortify our foundation.

The older I get, and the more knowledgeable I become, my foundation strengthens. My foundation is built upon the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a member of the LDS church, and each day I study and search I become more convinced of the truthfulness of this gospel. The challenges and trials I face draw me back to rely upon this faith and hope, and when I do I am strengthened. I know that God's hand is in my life, I am led through the gift of the Holy Ghost. The more I believe, the more I desire to testify. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He is more merciful that we understand. I feel of His love daily. It is through Him that I am able to accomplish the things that I do.

I couldn't imagine having to lose this weight, without this knowledge. Weight loss experts always allude to the fact that you have to rely and draw upon a higher power. It is true. I rely and draw upon the love of the Savior. His mercy, his willingness to grant me the desires of my heart. The more I learn about him, the more my love for him increases.

And through his generosity he allows me to succeed. The success comes through change, realizing my weaknesses, and making them strong. Realizing my potential, who I can become through His power. I love change.
